Lincoln Orthodontics upholds the strictest standard in infection control for the health and safety of their patients and team. The pandemic has challenged many businesses, but it has only strengthened their commitment to a sanitary office environment, examination rooms, and all other areas of the office. They have not taken their commitment to a clean environment lightly. Lincoln Orthodontics has continued with their daily cleaning duties, but they have also started to take additional steps to keep the office safe.
How the Team is Preventing the Spread
To start off the day, Dr. Willett and her team begin by masking up. They wash their hands, complete a health screening, and disinfect all surfaces of the office. When they open their doors to welcome their patients, they make sure to remind everyone that they are required to wear a mask when they are not directly receiving their orthodontic care. The Lincoln Orthodontics team enforces six feet of social distancing and the flow of the office has been moved to one-way traffic in order to avoid congregation.
Because the team members take this pandemic so seriously, they have been vaccinated for the Coronavirus when it was made available to them. They also have mandatory uniform changes when they arrive and leave the office. This will help limit the spread of COVID-19 on surfaces.
Importance of Sanitation
Lincoln Orthodontics’ top priority is about creating a safe space for their patients. They want their patients to feel safe and comfortable in the office, especially during this pandemic. Disinfecting the surfaces inside the office will help slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep their patients happy and healthy. Cleaning the equipment and surfaces after each use will help to keep the patients healthy and stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
Lincoln Orthodontics has also been taking preventive measures by utilizing their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This includes wearing face shields and clinical gowns, ensuring that infectious materials are not contaminating other surfaces. They also meet with patients and vendors via video conference if requested because they understand the importance of contact tracing and keeping their staff safe.
Protecting the Community
Safety has always been the top priority of Lincoln Orthodontics, but this team has worked harder than ever to ensure the safety of the staff and families against the Coronavirus. Team members with any symptoms of the virus will be asked to stay home and they must provide a negative test prior to returning to work. Along with providing a negative Covid-19 test, there are medical-grade air purifier units throughout the office that will help to clean the air of patients coming in and out of the building. It will help facilitate the air and reduce the spread of airborne particles.
Thank you to Dr. Willett and her team for making safety their top priority during this pandemic. The Lincoln Community thanks you for the hard work that you have put into slowing the spread of COVID-19, and keeping the city smiling!
